Revamped Website! Working with Squarespace as a Photographer
I've just completed a revamp of my website portfolio using Squarespace. It seemed like a daunting task considering the amount of new content I have captured over the past year. A slacker, I know!
After checking out the themes paged I switched to Squarespace's Ishimoto Theme for its gallery-centric, clean, minimalist design.
I completed image selection and editing in Lightroom and Photoshop and then exported them to a JPEG friendly format for the theme. Then it is simply a matter of dragging and dropping each image(s) into Squarespace's gallery drop box in your web browser.
You can change the image scroll speed, height, image bleed and display of titles so easily - I just clicked through the menus and made adjustments. I had the live version of the website on another tab to see how it was affected. Plenty of tinkering!
If I got stuck, I simply used Squarespace's online help/questions resources.
